Description

The St Mary’s fellowship trains 1 post-/pre-doc fellows each year. The program focuses specfically on training for to be family medicine educator and awards a Certificate of Advanced Specialization in Family Medicine Education from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Our on-site integrated care team includes 2 MFT faculty, an MFT fellow, a post-masters MFT intern (supervised by the fellow), an LCSW, an MSW student, an addiciton medicine physician, and 4 care managers. Teaching opportunities include supervising family medicine residents, MFT intern, resident evaluation in the hospital, video precepting, and didactic presentations. Our integrated services include medical family therapy, brief therapy, joint appointments, bump-in-the-hall consults, and group medical appointments. Training is diversified through numerous rotations: inpatient rounds, HIV specialty care clinic, homeless teen clinic, and a 12-month elective. We protect 8 hours of time each week for the scholarship of our fellows.
