This  pre-doctoral internship will train 1-2 individuals each year.  Interns will have the opportunity to serve the underserved population within an integrated, family medicine setting.  The integrated care team is comprised of MFTs, LCSWs, PharmDs, nursing staff, family medicine residents and attendings.  Clinical efforts will be spent completing brief and traditional therapy, curb-side consultations, and collaborative care teams.  Teaching opportunities will include assisting in developing and implementing a longitudinal, behavioral medicine curriculum, aiding to facilitate behavioral health rotations, and supporting activities to increase resident and faculty well being.  Interns will be able to work towards status of AAMFT approved supervisor as they will be directly responsible for the development and supervision of 2-4 master's level MedFT interns.  To be eligible for this internship, the  MFT exam must be passed prior to start date.
